Black Cherry EF Stain, Quart

The water-based stain featured in this product boasts a low-odor and easy cleanup, while emulating the effortless spreading, blending, repairability, and generous open times of oil-based stains. The blend of high-quality dyes and pigments provides rich, even color, and the heavier bodied formula allows for controlled penetration, reducing blotching on hard-to-stain woods such as Aspen, Pine, and Maple. This non-flammable stain is free of harsh chemicals and toxic vapors, making it ideal for use with children's toys and furniture.

To apply, simply use a foam brush or a paint pad applicator to liberally coat the surface. Under ideal conditions (70°F, 70% humidity), the stain will typically dry within 2-4 hours. However, cooler temperatures and higher humidity can prolong the dry time up to 8-10 hours. If necessary, the stain can be thinned with 10-20% water.

This stain offers a coverage of 150 square feet per quart. To extend the dry time or open up the working time of the water-based stain, the EF Extender (#80728) can be used. Simply mix 10% to 15% (3-5 fl. oz. per quart) of the EF Extender with the stain and mix well.
