Enduro Pre-Cat Lacquer, 1 Gallon, Satin for General Finishes

The water-based Pre-Cat Lacquer wood finish from General Finishes utilizes a novel manufacturing process in the polymer production, which results in a smaller and smoother polymer particle. This innovative formula leads to a significant enhancement in film clarity. Furthermore, the finish demonstrates superior chemical, water, and yellowing resistance compared to both waterborne and solvent-based competitors.

It is important to note that applying clear topcoats over bright white paint may cause yellowing due to a reaction with the underlying substrate. Similarly, light-colored paints may also experience yellowing when a topcoat is applied, although the effect will be less noticeable.

The Water White variant, which dries clear and does not amber, is designed for interior use only. This self-crosslinking acrylic formulation is water-based and can be applied using a spray or HVLP (High-Volume, Low-Pressure) method, with a tip size ranging from 1.1mm to 1.3mm.

The dry time for this product is relatively quick, with a touch-dry time of 10 minutes or more and a recoat time of 1 hour or more.
