General Finishes' water-based stains offer ample open time and share many similarities with oil-based stains. They have a thicker consistency, which provides greater control over penetration, thereby reducing blotching on softer woods. These stains can be applied to any bare wood or stripped surface to achieve beautiful, clear wood tones. The cleanup process involves the use of soap and water.

The product line boasts 16 wood tone colors, and the wiping formula is suitable for both brushing and spraying applications. The proprietary blend of pigments and metal complex dyes ensures depth and clarity, making these stains ideal for interior use only.

When using the recommended Accuspray HVLP atomizing sets, it is suggested to use a .043-.051 tip and nozzle, along with a No. 9 air cap. The VOC content of these stains is less than 100 g/l (0.83 lbs/gal), excluding water.
