Exterior 450 Water Based Topcoat, 1 Quart, Satin

Exterior 450 Topcoat is a clear-drying finish suitable for vertical exterior surfaces, such as fences, patio furniture, garage doors, entrance doors, and interior windows. It is not recommended as a deck finish. This topcoat is fortified with UV absorbers to stabilize the finish and built-in mildewcide to retard mold and mildew growth. It performs well as a clear coat or as an optional topcoat over General Finishes Milk Paint.

It is important to note that clear topcoats should not be applied over bright white paint, as yellowing may occur due to a reaction to the substrate. Light color paints may also experience yellowing due to topcoat application, but it will be less noticeable.

Exterior 450 Topcoat is fortified with UV absorbers to stabilize and protect the integrity of the finish, but it will not prevent the wood from changing color from sunlight exposure.

The water-based formula of this topcoat can be brushed, sprayed, or rolled, and cleanup can be done using soap and water.
